Registration letters from NHS England – please respond if you get one

The NHS is carrying out work in Bath, Gloucestershire, Swindon and Wiltshire to make sure the patient details on GP lists are accurate.  Letters are being sent to some patients, but not all. If you do receive a letter, please either confirm your details or submit any changes. For more information about this project please visit



Spa Medical Centre now offer patients all of the requirements under the GP contract relating to online services and are working closely with our system supplier (SystmOne) to allow patients to access more detailed information from their medical records.  It is our intention to have this available by 31st March 2016

If you would like to sign up to all the online services we provide, please fill in the "Online Access Application Form" and hand it in to Reception.  Please remember to bring identification with you such as passport, driving licence, birth certificate, bank statement, utility bill.

Other Services

Cervical screening clinics

Appointments can be booked directly at Reception as part of the national screening programme.

Primary Care Psychology Service

We have access to a team of Psychologists who run their services from the Medical Centre.  Appointments are available on a weekly basis, this is an op in service which means that you are able to book your appointment directly with them and don't always need a referral from your GP.  They are able to provide several levels of support from signposting to various online service to self help groups and courses available.  For further information please access their website:

Community Nursing service

The Community Nursing team work from the local community hospital and support our patients, providing care and advice on a wide range of issues at home. This includes District Nurses, Occupational Therapists, Physiotherapists.  The District Nurses can be contacted directly at Melksham Hospital on 01225 701051, Monday to Friday.  Please note there is an answerphone facility on Saturdays and Sundays, these messages will be picked up on Mondays.

A confidential service provided by our GPs and Practice Nurses.

Minor surgery

bandaging-wristA number of simple minor surgical procedures and joint injections can be carried out by members of the Surgical team.


This can be offered via a referral from your GP or you can refer yourself by ringing Melksham Hospital on 01225 703088.

Social Workers

The Adult Care team is based in Green Lane, Devizes.  Contact number is 01380 731200.

Minor Surgery

Dr Armstrong, Dr Gabriel and Debbie Todd, our Surgical Nurse, all carry out minor surgical procedures as a Directed Enhanced Service in the minor theatre suite at the Medical Centre. They are happy to discuss the procedure with you and arrange a future appointment for surgery if required.  Zara Lane and Helen Clareke, our Surgical Services Co-ordinators will contact you by telephone with an appointment date and time for your procedure.

In addition to providing the above procedures to our own patients, the Medical Centre also provides an excellent range of Surgical Services to the entire Wiltshire population.  We provide a Carpal Tunnel, Vasectomy and Minor Skin Cancer Service to all eligible patients referred into the service by their own GP.
